Is he gonna open the door again and find cleaning supplies? Then forever go through life thinking he's crazy?
That’s okay. I actually like a fair amount of predictability in a story. If I want unpredictability I would have a six year old tell me a story; sure, it would be very unpredictable, but it wouldn’t be very good. In fact, most stories I enjoy, have a fair amount of predictability, if they did not they would either make no sense or they would frustrate the heck out of me. The reason the previous post correctly guessed what would happens next is because this situation has been done numerous times in the past. But, I never seem to get tired of it because it works.
You're right, predictability is good in small doses. :)
He'll get nervous every time he opens a door from now on! ;D
